Congrats to Maddie Strachota and Patrick Conway on being invited to the Central development GS tactics camp. The camp will be held in early November at Loveland ski area, Summit county Colorado. Only Team Central and a few other athletes were invited. Team Gilboa is proud of these two athletes for being recognized by the USSA Regional director as being good candidates for a high level project. Continue the great work and we look forward to more Gilboa athletes being invited to US development projects.

A special thank you to Bruce Martinson and One Source Fitness for the very generous donation of much needed weight lifting equipment for our training facility. Because of Bruce our athletes now have a full weight room to complete our fall training regiment, and also for in-season maintenance. This donation gives Team Gilboa a definite advantage with regards to conditioning and off season training and will assist our athletes obtain their skiing goals throughout the year.

Congratulations to Peter Albertson for being selected to the NDS Junior Champions Camp to be held at Winter Park Jan. 16th-22nd. The camp targets second year J3’s (YOB 92) while selecting only four men and four women from each region of the country. Peter is one of two selected in All of Central. This is a great accomplishment for Peter as we encourage him to embrace this opportunity amongst the fastest second year J3’s in the country. The full roster for the camp follows (PDF).

We are delighted to announce that the Wayzata office of Merrill Lynch has made a significant contribution to Team Gilboa to help fund a critical need purchase... coaches radios for training and race day. As we all know, communication on the hill is maybe the most important thing to keep our kids safe, skiing fast, and where they need to be. A huge thanks to Merrill Lynch, and Gilboa parent Biff Robillard for making this happen!
Team Gilboa has identified a number of projects in need of funding that will have an immediate and long term impact on the success of our athletes and coaches, and we are interested in talking to more Team Gilboa parents and friends who may want to support our team through sponsorship. Through our racing and training activities, team events, our website and emails, etc. we have season-long contact with a great group of involved families. If you think it would be good for your business to have a positive association with Team Gilboa and ski racing, please contact one of our sponsorship chairs for more information: JC Anderson or Dick Hurrelbrink.
